|2016 Garrett A. Morgan Youth Symposium|
COMTO’s Garrett A. Morgan Youth Symposium honors the legacy of famed African American inventor and entrepreneur Garrett A. Morgan, who revolutionized the transportation industry with the development of the traffic signal. His invention made traveling on roads and highways safe for automobile travelers around the world. Held in coordination with COMTO’s annual National Meeting and Training Conference, the Garrett A. Morgan Youth Symposium provides an opportunity for high school students to explore the many avenues of transportation and its impact on shaping the global community.
