Resume Attach your current resume which outlines your work experience and any related experience or training in transportation. Your resume must also list your educational background (including any honors or other recognition) and any volunteer work or experience.
Essay Attach an essay that introduces yourself, states your transportation-related career goals, and describes your life aspirations. Essays must demonstrate how the applicant meets the scholarship-specific eligibility requirements. Essays must be typed and no more than 2 pages.
Transcripts Attach a copy of your most recent academic transcripts (collegiate) or report card (high school).
Reference Attach two written letters of recommendation from a teacher, an academic advisor, a community organization where you have worked or volunteered, a member of your local COMTO Chapter, or an employer (recommendation may not be written by a relative).
Headshot Attach a high resolution headshot of yourself in professional attire. Do not include a full-body or group image. If applicant is selected, this image may be used in COMTO scholarship award announcements.
Proof of COMTO Membership If COMTO Membership is required, attach documentation showing proof that you (or your parent/guardian, if applicable) are a member in good standing with current dues are paid.
Note: Applications must be submitted online. Applicants may apply to more than one scholarship. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Essays that fail to demonstrate how the applicant meets all scholarship-specific criteria are considered incomplete and will not be considered.
