Maryland Transportation Authority – Director of Civil Rights & Fair Practices
Meshelle is the Director of Civil Rights and Fair Practices for the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) in Baltimore, Maryland, where she serves as the President for the COMTO-Maryland Chapter 2014 – 2016 term. Meshelle has been a part of the transportation industry since March 1994 when hired by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), which is the headquarters for five transportation modals (MTA, MVA, MAA, SHA and the Port) and the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Prior to joining state service Meshelle served in the United States Army and participated in (3) wars, the Panama Invasion, Desert Shield/Desert Storm and the Somalia Invasion. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with numerous certificates in Procurement, Public Safety, Disadvantaged/Minority Business Enterprise Program, Contract Compliance, Leadership and Management. She is a professional with over 25 years of effective, efficient and results oriented experience in Leadership, Management, Supervision, Directing Programs, Procurement and Inventory Management and Strategic Planning.
Meshelle has been an active member of COMTO for over fifteen years, and during that time she has participated in different capacities of the organization such as the following to name a few:
