Careers In Transportation for Youth: CITY Internship Program

COMTO’s Careers In Transportation for Youth: CITY Internship Program, designed by transportation industry leaders, seeks the best and brightest young talent for internships in public transportation. In partnership with local Chapters and sponsoring private companies and public agencies, COMTO invites qualified students from area colleges and universities to apply for participation in the CITY Intern Program!

COMTO’s CITY Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship designed for college juniors and seniors with career interests in transportation. Interns are placed at private companies that do business in transportation, or public transportation agencies, and are exposed to a multitude of transportation-related careers. From IT to engineering, from bus maintenance to operations, and much more, CITY Interns receive a unique insight into the field of transportation.

Guided by a local COMTO mentor, CITY Interns work with industry professionals to gain work experience, develop leadership and professional development skills, and receive mentoring and coaching. Interns receive a bi-weekly stipend in compensation, with the added bonus of participating in the CITY Intern Leadership Track at COMTO’s annual National Meeting & Training Conference!
