Good morning COMTO family,
I hope this message finds you well and gearing up for a wonderful holiday time with friends and family.
We are still making updates to the website but I wanted to share some info on our holiday events last week.
Our holiday social on December 15th was a very well attended multimodal affair. In attendance: Nat Ford (CEO, JTA), Charles Spencer (South Atlantic President, International Longshoreman's Association), James Sheck (Walmart distribution center trucking fleet manager), Dan Pearsall (Premier Management Corporation), Melvin Clark & Renee Banks (GW Peoples Contracting) to highlight a few.
On December 16th we delivered the senior gifts. They were so very grateful for the Christmas presents from COMTO. The holiday committee members (Sherman Rothwell, Cathy Hussain & Marguerite Williams) worked very hard to organize and facilitate a successful senior outreach initiative.
We had outstanding sponsor support to reach and exceed our goals; special shout out to our fundraising dynamo Martini, she reached out to non-traditional COMTO sponsors and raised over $2,000. She was presented a special token of appreciation (flowers) at the holiday social for going the extra mile.
Bob Prince is a consistent supporter of the Jacksonville chapter and was a gracious Silver Sponsor of our events. At the social we acknowledged his leadership as past Board Chairman and his commitment to COMTO. We also presented him a token of appreciation and announced his retirement after a long and impactful career.
