On Monday, November 28, 2016, APTA Acting President and CEO, Dick White, announced that Linda Ford has been named APTA's Chief Counsel:
"...Ms Linda C. Ford has accepted my employment offer for this position. Ms. Ford has worked for the past 16 years in various positions in the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) Office of General Counsel, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Office of Chief Counsel and in her current capacity as the Associate Administrator of the FTA Office of Civil Rights. This has provided her with extensive experience in legal, policy, programmatic and legislative matters pertaining to federal transportation/transit programs. Prior to joining the USDOT, Ms. Ford held legal and law judge positions in the State of Indiana. She has a Bachelor of General Science degree from Purdue University and a Juris Doctorate from The Indiana University. Her official start date at APTA will be January 9, 2017."
