The CBCF/COMTO BrainTrust focused on GROW AMERICA, or Generating Renewal, Opportunity, and Work with Accelerated Mobility, Efficiency, and Rebuilding of Infrastructure and Communities throughout America, which is designed to do exactly as its name implies: Grow America. Noting key components of the Act, Secretary Foxx told the overflow audience that the Act will:
Support millions of American jobs repairing and modernizing our roads, bridges, railways, and transit systems;
Help ensure that American businesses can compete effectively in the global economy and grow; and
Pave the way forward by increasing access to the ladders of opportunity that help Americans get ahead.
Founded in 1971 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC, the Conference Of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) was created to provide a forum for senior-level minority professionals in the transportation industry.
