2016 National Meeting and Training Conference: Registration Open Now!


COMTO’s National Meeting and Training Conference is the premier gathering of professionals in the US transportation industry. We invite the entire COMTO family to join us at the 45th annual conference in Dallas, TX from July 8-12 at the Dallas Omni Hotel for this year’s theme: 21st Century Multimodal Transportation: The Future is Now.

Conference highlights include the National Scholarship Golf Tournament, 2-day DBE Academy, Transportation Industry Expo, and the CITY Intern Youth Symposium and youth track. Workshop tracks in Leadership, Multimodalism, Transportation Policy, and HUBs; membership meetings and plenary sessions; and a variety of technical tours, receptions, and networking events round out the 4-day conference agenda!

Transportation Industry Expo


The Transportation Industry Expo, held at the 2016 National Meeting and Training Conference on Saturday, July 9, will host exhibits from companies across all sectors of the transportation industry. COMTO's first ever Expo will be a great opportunity for transportation officials, contractors, and industry professionals to connect with their counterparts across the country, meet with customers, and network with key decisions makers.

Expo exhibitors will also have the opportunity to conduct presentations and hold one-on-one sessions with attendees. Contact for more information.

2016 Industry Awards Nominations Open!


For more than 30 years, COMTO's Industry Awards have recognized individuals, organizations, and COMTO chapters who have made outstanding contributions to the transportation industry. The 2016 Industry Awards, held at the 2016 National Meeting and Training Conference on Tuesday, July 12, will recognize industry leaders and COMTO chapters, and will feature COMTO's newest Industry Award: the Harold B. Williams "Game Changer" Award, presented to a resurging COMTO chapter that has demonstrated their ability to revitalize their membership.


2016 Industry Awards nominations are now open through May 30, 2016! Any COMTO member in good standing may nominate an individual or chapter for an award. Nominations must include a 1-page letter of endorsement written by a COMTO chapter president or National Board member.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our efficiency and effectiveness as the premier multimodal advocacy organization for minority professionals and businesses in transportation, we are interested in hearing the views and feedback of our members to help guide future efforts.


COMTO will soon release its 2016 Member Survey, available online, and we encourage all members to participate. Your responses will remain anonymous, and the feedback you provide will help influence decisions that COMTO makes moving forward.
