2016 Women Who Move the Nation Ceremony A Huge Success

On March 16, 2016, COMTO hosted its fifth annual Women Who Move the Nation awards breakfast ceremony at the JW Marriott hotel in Washington, DC. This year, COMTO honored 14 phenomenal women leaders in the transportation industry with this award.
Thanks to the COMTO family, more than 500 tickets were sold! Despite an unprecedented last-minute shutdown of DC’s Metro system announced only hours prior to the event, the awards ceremony still had a full house of more than 450 attendees, making 2016 the largest and most well-attended Women Who Move the Nation ceremony on record. With special remarks given by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx, and a “fireside chat” with honorees moderated by celebrity political commentator Angela Rye, the event met with great success.
Thank you to all those who attended and supported this momentous event! Read the complete post-even press release here.
