Did you make a great business connection at our National Meeting & Training Conference? Were you pleasantly surprised to find that your job interviewer was a fellow COMTO member? We want to hear your COMTO story! Use #COMTO45 to join the conversation, check out COMTO’s new President’s Blog, and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to participate in our year-long 45th anniversary celebrations, contests, and activities.
Black History Month and Garrett A. Morgan Day
COMTO invites all members to join us this February in celebration of Black History Month, as we recognize the contributions of peoples of the African diaspora in American history and culture. Named for acclaimed African American inventor Garrett A. Morgan, COMTO’s annual Garrett A. Morgan Shadow Day is a national program designed to educate students K-12 about career opportunities in transportation. This program gives youth the opportunity to shadow transportation industry professionals during their workdays and participate in interactive learning activities. Click here to view the Garrett Morgan Day toolkit for creative ideas you can implement with minority youth in your community.
Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation
COMTO is proud to host our 5th annual Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation awards ceremony in Washington, DC on March 16th. We invite you to join us as we honor 14 phenomenal women who are advancing and leading in America’s transportation industry. Tickets, sponsorships, and advertising are still available! COMTO chapters across the country are doing amazing things in their communities, and we want to know about them and recognize you nationally – on social media, in our newsletters, and on comto.org! Share your chapter’s annual program calendar, press releases, news mentions of your chapter or individual members, event photos, and more, and let us recognize and thank you on a national scale. Contact Brandi Williams to learn more.

2016 Membership Renewal
COMTO President & CEO Mioshi Moses said it best: COMTO’s future rests with its chapters. It is because of our membership that we are able to offer scholarships, continuing education, professional development, and advocate for minority transportation professionals to policymakers. We are proud of the impact we’ve made, and strive to do more. If you have not done so already, please take a moment to log in to your account to renew your membership for 2016!
